Explaining what should already be known about puck and his contract: The anime didnt voice over a part when it was saying to not get involved or whatever. After getting this far that voice over should have made sense to you but sadly it wasn’t voiced over in the version you guys are watching. That part was talking to Puck about Emilia. The person puck had a contract with was Echidna. She told Puck to protect her and be there for her without getting TOO involved. “Too involved” basically means making a contract with Emilia. I think when Echidna sent Puck to find Emilia, she probably told him to seal her memories away because it would have driven Emilia mad/crazy over what happened. Which is why Puck disappearing gives her back her memories. All of this should have made sense right at this point because of the voice over. The moment yall met Echidna is the moment yall would have found out that the voice over was Echidna, therefore meaning that Puck had a contract with Echidna to protect Emilia.

The Ryuuzu and Roswaal things: The Ryuzu thing. Yes that is Shima 😂 she is the only smart ryuzu that wears white(smart as in, she is capable of conversation like the other 3 of the big 4). The whole bunch of copies can’t have a conversation. When they said “in the forest” that just meant out by some trees within the sanctuary in a cabin(cause nobody can leave the sanctuary remember) 😂 Also come on now 😂 the EXACT SAME two cups are still on the table from the night garf spoke with her. It means something happened that same night after garf left 😂😂 The Roswaal thing, I dont think he could unfreeze the whole elf village. He probably meant that if she runs and wins the election, there could potentially be a way for them to find some method to unfreeze them all.

Time for answers girls. You will love this 2nd part so much, all your confusion on some thing will be cleared, just don't expect you to understand 100% everything as Re:Zero is still a HUGE mystery story and we are still only almost start of this story.

I don't know why they did 2 versions for it they could have easily left that for mystery who ordered Puck for that. With the voice and seen season 2 you easily know it's Echidna but if you just read words in novel there really isn't that clear answer for it, you can hypothesis that it was Greed Witch, but not clear answer for it. One of the things with Re:Zero anime is rewatching makes a lot of sense till this point we are now.

I honestly wouldn’t have minded either direction they chose. I think they added the voice over because the Author requested that change, if I remember correctly. The Author was probably trying to convey the same thing through his writing in the novel (like u said u could hypothesize it was her but wasnt sure) but trying to do that is a somewhat difficult task with just pure writing since there could be several chars that speak similarly(use the same words and mannerism) n u cant tell unless u hear them. Basically he wanted his readers to know it was her but wanted to do it in a way that suit the story without revealing the name but using her words/method of speaking. I’ve never read the light novel so not sure how he wrote that part 🤷‍♂️ I just know as a writer (as a hobby) it can sometimes be a little hard to want to direct readers to the answer in a way that is easy but in an interesting/mysterious way.

It is exceedingly clear that Puck was involved with Echidna in the novels. Especially with the way Betty refers to him and Echidna. I'm fairly certain he name drops her in the novels as well, prior to Season 2 content.
