For the First Time at the Hunting Grounds
After a period of rest, the day finally arrived for us to go and defeat the Frost Wyverns.
Everyone's equipment has been modified for cold resistance, so we should be safe.
By the way, Alizée and Melanie will be accompanying us on today's hunt.
Apparently, there are still some parts of the current hunting ground that they haven't fully investigated, so they want to confirm the situation on-site.
They're both hands-on types after all.

Now, to reach the habitat of the Frost Wyverns, we have to pass through the cliffs.
Since the Lumite Grand Wing is a magic vehicle with very advanced seismic resistance and rough road traversal capabilities, this should be a breeze.
Defeating the small monsters that appeared along the way delayed our trip a little.
According to Alizée and Melanie, even if we brought back these monsters, they wouldn’t fetch more than 10,000 Rubies, though.
Maybe my sense of money is off, but apparently, that's how it is for high-level adventurers, so let's leave it at that.
We loaded only monsters that were good materials onto the Lumite Grand Wing and disposed of the rest by extracting the magic stones and incinerating them.

Talat has grown quite big.
He says he's about to evolve soon, but he's having trouble because there's nothing interesting for him to evolve into.
He can apparently become something called a Magi-Silk Spider, but Magi-Spider Silk is silk that has almost the same properties as Mana Spider Silk.
The only difference is that it's slightly more resistant to physical attacks, with the same magic resistance.
So, he's waiting for a new evolution option, but it seems he needs a special magic stone for that.
I wonder if we can somehow obtain that special magic stone during this hunt?

After about three hours of traversing the cliffs, we finally reached the end of the cliffs and emerged onto the opposite side, onto the plains.
However, it wasn't the land where I imagined Frost Wyverns to be, but rather a town where deformed snowmen were bouncing around.
As for the snowmen... they were just snowmen.
Their noses were colorful triangular prisms, and their eyes and mouths were just black things stuck on.
They had scarves wrapped around their necks, and their arms were brooms.
Are these... monsters?

"Oh dear, it seems we've gotten lost in the Snowelter's habitat."

"Snowelter?"

Since Melanie seems to know the situation, I asked her.

Those snowmen seem to be a type of snow spirit called 'Snowelter.'
They're generally friendly, but all the meals they offer are frozen fruits, which are hard to eat.
If you refuse them poorly, they might get angry and freeze people.

So, we've stumbled into the village of these dangerous spirits.
The snowmen... the Snowelters were gathering with curiosity and coming towards us.
What should we do?

(If I may, travelers. Could you please grant us a favor?)

"A favor?"

One of the larger Snowelters among them spoke to us.
It didn’t seem to have any ill intentions.
Let's try to approach them amicably.

"Yes. There's an Ice Cyclops settled beyond our village, and it's causing us trouble. Even if we freeze it, the Ice Cyclops won't die. Travelers, could you please defeat it for us?"

A request for monster extermination...
This needs a bit of discussion.
