💥Who The Hell Do You Think I Am? (Patreon)

Me and Pokki finished watching Gurren Lagann last night, and the only other time I have cried that hard at anything was after we finished the movie Your Name.

Kill La Kill is still my favourite anime, and I honestly don’t think anything will take that title from it, but GL hit different. Gurren Lagann immediately became special to me for very different reasons, and all I can say is that it jus felt very personal. It struck a lot of deep chords with me, and I absolutely adored the show.

All of that deep stuff aside, Kamina is honestly the first anime character I have ever fallen in love with. This stupid himbo stole my heart in 5 seconds flat. So, I wanted to try my hand at drawing him.

I’m not experienced with drawing humans, and it’s never been something that appealed to me. But now I’ve started watching more anime and getting attached to all of these characters, I just have this urge to draw fan art, so, I figured everyone has to start somewhere.

This is very static and I used a lot of references of screencaps from the show and his character art, but I wasn’t aiming for it to be very dynamic. I just wanted to have fun and try my hand at drawing something new, and man it was fun and I have to admit, I’m really proud of this!! considering how far out of my comfort zone this is, I’m happy with how it looks.
