Hey there!! I wanted to give a special shout-out to the AMAZING moderators of the Purple Markers Discord server, Diz and Emily! They do SOOOO many amazing things that help bring this community together, so I wanted to thank them with a request! In this video, I asked them to pick some SoundCloud songs from BTS that they think I should hear! They chose:  

j-hope - 1 Verse 

Jimin - Promise 

Jin - Tonight 

V - Winter Bear 

Jung Kook - Still With You  

I found out later, it was a secret plan of theirs to choose all vocal line solos (and the 1 Verse was already on the list, as I say in the video!) I am so happy with the choices they made, and I hope you all enjoy! Thank you again so much to Emily and Diz!! 💜

Jin has said that he's embarrassed by "Tonight" and he wishes people didn't listen to it, but he knows that most if not all of ARMY have heard it. I think he said that because it was his first self-written song and he feels like he could do much better now. Tae has also expressed some disappointment with Winter Bear, because he knew so little English at the time he wrote it. For both of them, it's their first songs. Once you get a lot more skilled at something, you're always going to cringe a bit when you look back at your first attempt, so I kind of take both of their statements with a grain of salt.

The others already said it , but promise is about himself, as you know jimin used to be in a very dark place when BTS exploded in popularity, jimin who was already hard on himself well... he talked about it multiple times how he wasn’t taking good care of himself and this song was a promise to himself to cherish himself more. Arround that time i think he really had a break through, jimin started to be more carefree in a way, not being so self conscious about appearing on camera without makeup or acting cute and silly, whereas before he seamed more concerned about his image and how he presented himself
