Helloo!

So all the animatics for SALIATOS season 2 are finished- It looks like the full season is going to be 80 minutes, which is basically just another full movie (especially bc each episode starts with the previous episode's ending shot- so they can all be edited together seamlessly). Mama mia

Episode 10 is very close to being finished, which was the biggest one to tackle.. But I think all of them are really good, I'm really proud that they are all thematically cohesive and manage some really crazy narrative/form acrobatics that I somehow manage to stick the landing on (in my opinion). I feel really strongly about making these the best I can make them, since this is basically a formal goodbye to my body of work thus far. The Cone Layer will be the true finale but it's a bit removed

Some guest animation bits are on the way, if everything goes according to plan: Episode 7 has Ted Wiggin, Episode 8 has Asaki Nishino and Kohana Wilson, and Episode 10 has Jennifer Nie.. (Maybe 1 more as well but not sure)

I start my MFA at SAIC in September, which is exciting! They gave me a really good scholarship so I was able to make it work. I was hoping to finish season 2 before school starts, because I want to start production on The Cone Layer right when I begin school- I think there will be some bleedover if I can't finish all these before end of summer, but I think I'll be able to manage. The goal is to have the animatic for The Cone Layer finished before my second year at school starts and then finish all the animation my second year.

I'm going to be completing The Cone Layer while in school, the idea would be to have it finished as my thesis graduation project in 2025. Your continued support is obviously really appreciated, as I'm kind of ramping up to close out a huge chapter in my career. I have no idea what's going to happen after that but I guess I have some time to figure that out. LOL

As they say... You Only Live Once! So true

More info to come!
