Yall seem to be misunderstanding something consistently. No one person "had" a vault. Some people had their own personal fallout shelters like we saw in the first episode and in real life. People bought or were given slots in the vault-tec vaults.

Man to think all these years later, they could continue expanding the story and world by dropping lore tid bits and drops that even caught long time fans of the games off guard Cooper Howard is the original guy behind the iconic Vault Boy cartoon alllll throughout the franchise and that thumbs up at the end is what sealed the deal for the most iconic symbol in the series. Thats crazy shit and thats how you do your own thing while also keeping in line and consistent with the rest of the universe(the show is indeed canon to the games and currently takes place the furthest in the series timeline after 4 and NV)

About the thing with the battery of the power armor that lupa asked about , the fission core having a limited duration was really a mechanic added in fallout 4 to balance how op power armor was , that was never a thing in previous games and in the lore a fission core has enough energy to last centuries , so the armor wont ever run out of power

I think its just bad acting from them but the Vault suits do protect from radiation. probably more on the side of resistance vs proof like a whole Haz mat suit would work better, but a vault tech suit does help resistance over radiation

I disagree, it is the happy-go-lucky attitudes of the vault residents and their complete lack of ability to read their situation or ask questions about literally anything that is freaky to me. It feels cult-like. Norm is one of the only people having a measured response to the slaughter that occured in episode one, especially if the vaults are pushed into more of a survival scenario. The fact that the overseerers are not trying to be transparent and investagative of how this could even occur (or what happened to the other vaults) would make me incredibly suspicious and uneasy as a vault resident. They should be compassionate to the raiders of course, because they are correct, they are only raiders because of their environment and lack of education. But the lack of self preservation or long term thinking is very alarming among the more oblivious vault residents, and it shows the shortcomings of a society incubating without any real conflict for generations.

Yeah i havent seen where the show goes with this. So well see. I guess my point is more that they tend to have a quick and utilitarian and sometimes cruel view of complex situations. Its like they learned from Breaking Bad that Walt shouldve just killed everyone is his path quicker, instead of that all that stuff was never worth it. Yeah my biggest complaint with this show is that maximus... kinda sucks as a person for most of the first season and is pretty unsympathetic. I can kinda understand from his background and see his arc going to make him a better person... but it sucks that he's so unlikable. It feels like they need him to just give him sort of little seed in our minds that he's a good person at heart, but a victim of his circumstances, but most of he just kinds comes off as petty and selfcentered, to me at least

Of course he’s going to be full of himself when he gets power like this. Doesn’t mean it’s right, but it makes sense. Give him some room to grow! Salamander there, west coast gulpers are axolotl’s. In the fallout games mutant wildlife differs wildly from coast to coast. For example mirelurks don’t exist in the west coast they only have “lakelurks” which are mirelurk kings aka fish people. Seems to be a different sub-species. I’m sad there’s no cazadors, deathclaws, nightstalkers, geckos, etc. My main gripe with the show is there aren’t enough mutant animals

I didn't realize how many old western memes are in this show. I have seen quite a few so far. Most recently, The Ghoul making Lucy walk in the desert without water is definitely inspired from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"
