Fightful Select caught up with Chris Danger recently.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp spoke with the recently debuted wrestler and Youtuber. The two discussed numerous topics. Danger told Sean he began training to become a wrestler about a prior to his November 11th, 2023 debut at DPW World's Strongest 2023 in Durham, NC against Shawn Spears.

Chris showed a wound he recently got from a table match. He said, “I was telling somebody this the other day; I get to the back, and there’s a hole in my arm. But it’s not leaking; it’s not dripping. It’s just open. It’s wide open, and there’s no blood coming out.”

He noted that the referee checked on him and asked him if he wanted to keep going, and he did. Chris did say that if he were bleeding, he would have it wrapped up and keep going.

Chris discussed how his match against Shawn Spears happened. He was initially supposed to face Adam Cole, but it was pulled due to Cole’s ankle injury at AEW Grand Slam. He said Cole is his friend and wants him to be healthy and ready to go. I want him to be able to work at his full potential. Chris mentioned that he was heartbroken because of it.

He noted that he was trained by Shawn Spears and said Spears is an upstanding and awesome person. Chris said Spears stepped in and said, “Let’s do this.” Chris said that night ended up being one of the greatest nights of his life.

Chris also talked about his other trainer, Tyler Breeze, and how the names of the people who trained him added an extra layer of pressure. Chris also mentioned everybody else who’s helped him along the way.

He mentioned the owners of Deadlock Pro Wrestling [Anthony Douglas, James Darnell, and John Blud] are three of his closest friends. Chris added that DPW’s fanbase is very passionate and very supportive of him.

In closing, Chris talked about his Youtube channel, DenkOps. He said he started the channel about 8-9 years ago under the created name “Chris Danger.” Chris said he treated him as if he was a real person. He added that he commentated on his matches, gave him a backstory, and also did promos as him. He said he started as a Call of Duty channel.

I treated him like an actual person. He would commentate on matches, gave the character a back story and lore, and did promos as him, and the snowball just kept growing. It started as a Call of Duty channel, but once he uploaded WWE content, it snowballed.
