Fightful Select caught up with Candice LeRae at a Boys and Girls Club of America event associated with the WWE.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp asked Candice if Johnny Gargano was not at the event because he loathed children. Candice laughed and said, “I think, loves children like, especially now having our kid he likes be like he's the he's a big kid himself.”

Sean would ask Candice, “How can he like children if he raises your child to be a Browns fan?” Candice would reply, “In fairness he did ask if I had a team and I said no.” Candice and Sean discussed the play of Cleveland Browns Running Back Nick Chubb.

Sean mentioned that it seems like the clip of her getting a lumbar check from Cedric Alexander goes viral every year. Candice said when she got hit that, she did not know where she was going to land. She also mentioned that they did not practice it, and she believed that she could do it.

As they wrapped up the conversation, Sean mentioned he was fascinated by the process of her going back to the WWE and asked how it came to be. Candice said she went to her doctor and asked how soon she could begin doing physicals.

Candice said they cleared her, and she returned to the  PC as soon as possible. She said she was finally back in a ring by the eighth or ninth week, rolling around a little bit. Candice said that is when she realized that she could do this again.

She said they were trying to figure things out when her contract expired. Candice said she told Johnny she thought she would return to the Indies. She added Johnny said no, no, no, no, no, just wait. She said Hunter reached out; it was a no-brainer, and it worked.

She would add that the WWE is where they wanted to be their whole lives, and it's home.
